The papyrologist S. Torallas Tovar (Univ. of Chicago) has engaged the question of where and how the Montserrat codex (P.Monts.Roca 1) was originated. The scholar has proposed codicologically and paleographically comparisons among this codex and pieces of other collections (especially Chester Beatty codex AC 1499) and has used the information given by R. Roca Puig’s documents to suggest the fascinating hypothesis that the Montserrat codex belonged to the Dishna papers, probably a Pachomian monastic library.
