Opificio 7th – 9th September 2016

During three days of intensive work, Rodney Ast, James Cowey and Julia Lougovaya, members of the editorial board of papyri.info, taught how to encode a scientific edition of Latin papyri in Leiden+, so as to digitise the new texts and upload them into the current papyrological databases (of both documentary and literary texts). After illustrating some basic concepts on .xml language, the three scholars trained the attendants on how to correct already digitised texts, and, subsequently, to encode an unedited text, or a text which has not yet inserted into the online databases.
